Ultima - Oslo Contemporary Music Festival is an annual, international festival presenting contemporary music and related art forms.
The 2009 festival dealt with the subject of rewriting, focusing on forms of music that somehow have a curious, exploring approach and inhibit ‘unfinishedness’. Our design related to this theme typographically by rewriting the name of the festival and deconstructing it in various ways.
For the festival itself, we designed three newspapers that functioned as a program as well as documentation. In addition to this, we developed a poster campaign, flyers, various advertisements, merchandise and a new web page.
